PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: August 17, 2026 · Dashboard Boss LLC, Las Vegas, Nevada

The short version

Dashboard Boss is here to keep your books. We use your data to run that service for you. We don't use it for anything else. We don't sell it. We don't share it with other customers. We don't use it for ads.

What we collect

When you sign up, you give us a few things: your name, your email, your business name, and a password. We never store your password as plain words. We scramble it first, so no one can read it.

You also create records in the app. These include the payments you enter, the receipt photos and voice notes you upload, and the details we pull from them. That means the vendor, the amount, the date, the sales tax, and the category.

If you choose to, you can connect a bank or card account. We use a company called Plaid to get that account activity. We only read it. We can't change it. We never see or store your bank username or password — you give those straight to Plaid, not to us. You can read how Plaid handles your info in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

How we use it

We use your data to do your bookkeeping. We keep your ledger. We match your bank activity to the records you saved. We add up your balances, your cash on hand, and your runway. And we build the reports you ask for, like the sales tax you have paid, ready for your filing.

Your receipt photos and voice notes pass through helper services. One reads the text off a photo. Another turns a voice note into text. They do just one job: pull out the details, which you then check and confirm.

What we never do

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with other customers. We don't use it for ads. And we never use your bank data for anything other than running the service for you.

Who can see your data

Only two groups can see your data. First, the people you let in on your own team, like your staff or your accountant, with the access you give each one. Second, the helper services we use to run the app: our hosting company, Plaid for the bank link, and the photo and voice services above. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job. We may also have to share data if the law requires it.

Security

We send your data over secure, scrambled connections, so no one can read it along the way. Your bank login stays with Plaid, not with us. The access keys Plaid gives us are scrambled while we store them. Your password is scrambled too, with strong, modern protection. Inside the app, your business is kept apart from every other business. Each person sees only what you allow.

Your control and deletion

You are in charge of your data. You can unlink a bank account any time, which cuts off our access to it. You can edit or delete any record you made. If you close your account, just ask us and we will delete your data. The only parts we keep are the ones the law says we must. You can also get a full copy of your records. They are your books.

Children

Dashboard Boss is a tool for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If the change is a big one, we will email you about it.
